Highly complex, highly unique brick making

These rather dramatic looking bricks belong to our Ochre range. Extraordinarily complex bricks to make due to the complex colouring and textures. The technique is known as waterstruck moulding, or sometimes referred to as slop moulding, due to the high water content of the clay during the moulding process. This process of brick making was widely applied in Europe and North America but was never widely used in Australia where early brick making used the sandstruck or sandstock method. If you are after a truely unique brick this may be the one for you.
