The Roman Heritage Red is a long-format handcrafted brick designed to combine the warmth and character of traditional masonry with the clean proportions of contemporary architecture.
Rich layers of earthy reds, burnt terracotta and weathered clay tones are blended across the face, creating a façade that feels established rather than manufactured. Gentle colour variation is complemented by subtle kiln markings, shallow creases and softly irregular edges, giving every brick its own individual character while maintaining a refined overall appearance. The elongated 330mm profile emphasises strong horizontal lines, making walls appear longer, lighter and more elegant than those built with conventional brick formats.
The brick’s handcrafted finish captures light beautifully throughout the day, with the warmer red and ochre undertones becoming more pronounced in morning and afternoon sunlight, while deeper russet tones emerge under softer evening light. This natural variation gives the façade depth and movement without overwhelming the architectural design.
Roman Heritage Red is equally at home on contemporary homes, architect-designed townhouses and sympathetic heritage additions, where its timeless colour palette provides warmth and texture while the slim linear format delivers a distinctly modern aesthetic. Paired with a flush mortar joint, the brickwork achieves a clean, monolithic appearance that allows the craftsmanship and natural character of each brick to remain the focal point.
