Brick Visualiser Guide
Elephant AI Brick Visualiser
Our AI visualiser helps remove much of the uncertainty from selecting bricks. By allowing you to see your chosen brick applied to a realistic building before construction begins, it becomes much easier to compare colours, textures and architectural styles. Whether you’re a homeowner, architect or builder, the visualiser provides greater confidence in your selection, enabling more informed design decisions early in the project. While the visualiser is a valuable design tool, it represents only one part of creating a beautiful brick façade. The final result is influenced by many factors working together, including the choice of brick, mortar colour, joint profile, brick bond, bricklaying craftsmanship, cleaning techniques and the overall architectural design. Taking the time to understand how these elements interact before construction begins is essential to achieving the outcome you envision. We hope our visualiser makes that process easier by helping you select the right brick as the foundation for your project.
Our AI visualiser makes use of professionally photographed images of our bricks, captured in a controlled studio environment. Each brick is photographed under lighting specifically designed to closely replicate natural midday daylight, ensuring the surface texture, colour and tonal variation are represented as accurately as possible. During every photography session, industry-standard colour calibration charts are used to correct for any variations in exposure, white balance or camera settings, providing a highly colour-accurate digital representation of the actual product.
Our AI visualiser uses photographs of our actual bricks, not generic digital textures or approximate brick patterns commonly found in traditional architectural rendering software. Rather than selecting a “close enough” brick from a generic material library, every visualisation is generated using professionally colour-calibrated photographs of the genuine Elephant Brick Co. product you have chosen.
This means you are seeing the authentic colour variation, texture, edge detail and character of the real brick, including the subtle imperfections and individuality that define handmade and reclaimed products. Conventional rendering software typically relies on repeated texture maps or generic brick materials that bear only a passing resemblance to the final product, often producing façades that look artificial or fail to capture the unique qualities of the real bricks.
By using our actual products as the foundation for every visualisation, there is no need to search through a library of imitation brick textures or settle for something that merely looks similar. Instead, you can visualise your project using the genuine brick you intend to build with, providing a far more realistic representation of the finished façade and greater confidence in your design decisions. While AI visualisations remain conceptual and cannot replicate every site condition or lighting scenario, they offer a level of product authenticity that generic architectural rendering software simply cannot achieve.
While AI visualisation is broadly effective at reproducing brick colour and variation, it can struggle with non-standard size formats—particularly linear and low-profile bricks. As a result, the bricks’ dimensions and aspect ratio may not be represented correctly.
While this process provides an excellent foundation for the AI visualiser, the resulting images remain conceptual representations. The appearance of bricks in a completed project will always be influenced by factors such as natural lighting conditions, orientation, mortar colour, joint profile, surrounding materials, landscaping and the inherent variation found in handmade products. For this reason, AI visualisations should be used as a design tool rather, they are not an exact prediction of the finished building. We always recommend viewing physical samples and, where possible, larger display panels before making a final selection.
