The difference between glazed bricks and glazed ceramics

Unlike glazed ceramic tiles with their smooth surfaces and low porosity, bricks and brick facings/tiles have highly textured surfaces and much higher porosity. This difference allows the glaze to dynamically interact with the brick surface and results in fabulously textured colours. This process means that every glazed brick or brick facing is unique, this is what separates glazed bricks from mass produced glazed ceramics.
