Brick Lane Inspiration

While Brick Lane is famous for its wonderful Anglo-Indian cuisine its also a great place to see wonderful old world bricks known simply as London Stock. The London stock brick is a handmade brick which was used for the majority of building work in London. Made from London clay, bricks fashioned from this clay are characterised by a yellowish brown hue. However, adding a few hundred years of city pollution now means the standard London Stock has weathered to a colouring characterised by browns, yellows, blacks and greys. This weathered London Stock with its autumnal colour tone is the inspiration for our Weathered Parliament brick.
