All Handcrafted. All Unique. All Timeless.
Linear bricks were once a very widely used building material. However they fell out of favour when mass production and the standardisation of bricks became prominent. However, the use of linear bricks are once again becoming increasingly popular as consumers are looking for some product diversity and Linear bricks offer a dramatically different look over standard size bricks. With a face size of 320mm x 50mm, they are very different from the traditional brick size of 230mm x 75mm. We offer linear bricks in all of our brick styles and in both a full sized linear brick (320mm x 108mm x 50mm) and 22mm thick linear brick tile (320mm x 22mm x 50mm).
The old red brick has a long history, beginning with handmade convict bricks, all the way to primitive extruded wirecut bricks and in the 21st century it is still one the most common building materials. Elephant Brick Co. offers a full range of "old red bricks", ranging from the most traditional sandstocks, smoother waterstruck varieties to primitive wirecuts. We offer these "old red bricks" in both a full sized brick and as a brick tile, all available in whatever quantity you need for your job.
Inspired by the modern colour of the century, grey, these bricks take the grey colour scheme to another dimension by pairing it with texture and tonal variation. To avoid a soulless mono-toned grey facade, we pair our greys with an underlying colour to add warmth, avoiding the dullness so many other grey bricks have. The result is grey faced bricks that have subtle complexity and sophistication. All of the grey bricks shown here can come in a Roman or linear sized brick.
Glazed Bricks and Brick Tiles provide an elegant and stylish option for residential and commercial interiors and exteriors. Each handcrafted brick or brick tile is created by our skilled brickmakers, before being coated in a specialist glaze and fired in the kilns. The textured surface of our bricks and brick tiles allows the glaze to pool and thin across the surface naturally. This combination of glazing and texture produces a softly undulating and tactile surface, forming the beautiful character of the product. Our glazed bricks and brick tiles can be used both on walls and floors.
Too often, there are sacrifices made when it comes to heritage restoration. One of the most important aspects of heritage restoration is brick matching, and brick matching is not just about colour, it is also about size and especially texture. At Elephant Brick Co., we will work with you to ensure your heritage restoration bricks blend as seamlessly as possible. Get in contact with us to discuss potential pathways.
Brick facings, also known as brick slips, brick cladding or brick tiles are simply a slimline brick, typically 22mm thick. Due to their slimline nature, they can be used as a tile to cover walls and floors in a manner similar to ceramic tiles. The most striking feature of our brick facings is that they are a genuine brick, not brick patterned wall paper or make-out plastic brick cladding, bringing a more luxurious and high quality finish to your space. We offer brick facings in all of our brick styles which ranges from classic old red brick facings, to a reclaimed and rustic feel to less common varieties. All our brick facings are available with brick corner pieces to ensure the perfection upon completion.
